Funeral services for Mr. O.C. “Pete” Breazeale will begin at 10:00 am Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home chapel with the Reverends Harold Coomer, Jeff Hancock and Mr. David Truhett officiating. Interment will follow at 12 noon at the Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery with full military honors. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Breazeale, 89, of Collinsville, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.

Mr. Pete was a career truck driver. He loved being with family and friends and spending time on his farm; he especially loved being on the tractor. He had a profound love of Southern Gospel Music and loved singing with his family. Pete was always known to have a smile on his face and a song in his heart. Mr. Pete has been a member of Crossview Church in Collinsville since 1960 where he faithfully attended and served in numerous leadership roles throughout the years.

Mr. Pete is survived by his wife of over 64 years, Frances Truhett Breazeale; children, Mike Breazeale (Donna), Mark Breazeale (Jan), and Mitchell Breazeale (Kim). Grandchildren, Beverly Morgan (Dave), Joshua Breazeale, Ashlee Papp, Austin Gordon, and Garrett Gordon (Clara). Great-grandchildren, Vince Morgan, Mick McNeil, Kelsey Reed (Elijah), Braden Gordon, David Smith, Grayson Gordon, and Aiden Gordon as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Mr. Breazeale is preceded in death by his parents, James Irvin and Dovie Byrd Breazeale; sisters, Irma Breazeale, Gurtrude Cooper, Grace Lewis, Audrey D. Coghlan, Mavis Ingram, Margaret Breazeale, and Katherine Algood; one brother James Richard Breazeale.

The family request memorials be made as donations to the Alzheimer’s Association, at www.alzheimersassociation.org, in lieu of flowers.

Pallbearers will be James Algood, Austin Gordon, Garrett Gordon, Josh Breazeale, Paul Joyner, Kent Joyner, Billy Wayne Flint, and Richard Coghlan.

The Breazeale family will receive guests from 5:00pm- 7:00pm Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at the funeral home. Facial mask are required prior to admittance into the funeral home. The funeral home is operating at 50% capacity and will allow up to 100 guests indoors at once.
