He married Sally Rebecca Conn February 3, 1898 in Attala Co., MS. Attala County Marriage Book H, page 161.

Sally was born July 28, 1877. Sally was the daughter of Walter G Conn. Sally died May 13, 1944.

James Levi Allgood and Sally Rebecca Conn had the following children:

9987 i. Lester Green8 Allgood was born in Attala Co., MS June 24, 1899. Lester died November 21, 1980 in Brandon, Rankin Co., MS. He married Ellie Neal Chennault September 16, 1934 Attala Co., MS. Attala County Marriage Book R, page 223

9988 ii. Booster Algood was born in Holmes Co., MS August 21, 1912. Booster is shown on the 1930 Census Ms, Holmes Co., Goodman, as age 17. Booster died January 29, 2000 in Rankin Co., MS. He married Julia Jones 1949. Julia was born July 13, 1919 in Pickens, MS. Julia died May 20, 2012 in Jackson, HInds Co., MS. OBIT: Julia J. Algood, 93, attended by her family, died peacefully in the early evening hours on May 20, 2012 at St. Dominic's Hospital. Mrs. Algood was born in Pickens, MS on July 13, 1919.

She was devoted to her family and their well-being, although she was never a mother herself, she was a motherly influence to many. She served in the Women's Army Corp. and operated her own business as a beautician in her home town.

She was a loving wife to the late Booster Algood for over 50 years. He preceded her in death along with her brother, Hubert Jones and sister Kathleen Elliott.

Mrs. Algood was a devoted member of the Pickens Presbyterian Church and served a term as President of the Mississippi Federation of Women's Club, she served on the Library Commission and was involved in many charities.

Survivors include her nephew, John Slay; niece Anna Slay; great-nephew Jonathan Slay of Madison; nieces Ollie Harriett Black of Corsicana, TX, Betty Slay of Hattiesburg, MS and many other nieces and nephews.

The service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 23 in the chapel of Lakewood Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. before the service.
