OBIT: John Franklin Allgood, Jr., age 67, of Hot Springs, formerly of Lake Village, died Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010, at Canyon Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center in Hot Springs. He was born May 22, 1943, in Boyle Mississippi, the son of the late John Franklin Allgood Sr. and Sarah Morgan Allgood and was a retired farmer and Baptist. He was preceded in death by a baby brother and baby sister and one grandson. Survivors are a son, J. J. Allgood of Iowa Falls, Iowa; a daughter, Clovie Lopez of Marshalltown, Iowa; 3 brothers, Henry Allgood and wife, Fay, of Lake Village, Billy Allgood of Whitehall, and Mickle Allgood of Snyder; 4 sisters, Mary Brooks and husband, George, of Dothan, Alabama, Minnie Bell of Dothan, Alabama, Rena Jones of Lake Village and Nora Pope of Pine Bluff; 6 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is 12 Noon till 2:00 P.M. Thursday, November 11, 2010, with Funeral services at 2:00 P.M. at Bishop Funeal Home Chapel with Bro. Larry Donaldson officiating. Burial will follow in Montrose Cemetery under the direction of Bishop Funeral Home of Lake Village.

He married Betty Jean Bothen June 4, 1965. Betty was born in San Bernardino, San Bernardino Co., CA. Betty died in San Bernardino, San Bernardino Co., CA.
