Allgood, 67, of Louin, died Thursday, July 26, 2001, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m., Saturday at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, with burial in Antioch Cemetery in Jasper County. The Rev. Eddie Brady will officiate. He was a retired heavy equipment operator. A Baptist, he was a lifetime resident of Louin, an avid hunter and fisherman who loved life. He is survived by his companion, Nettie R. Ainsworth of Bay Springs; two brothers, C. L. Allgood of Biloxi and W. J. Allgood of Newton; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Anthony Allgood, James Allgood, Joseph Allgood, Wayne Johnson, John White and Nicholas Allgood. Honorary pallbearers will be Toby Sims, Grady James and Melvin Blankinship. Visitation will be from 5 - 9 p.m., today at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, which is in charge of arrangements.

Myrtle was born July 16, 1920 in Clarke Co., MS. Myrtle was adopted and raised by Joseph Melton. She first married Wiley Irvin before marring Jessie Alston Allgood and then his brother Stanford Allgood Myrtle is the daughter of Richard Donahue and Nomia (___).
