Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2009, in Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Slocomb with the Rev. Darrell Sammons and Ronnie Dobbs officiating. Burial will follow in Christian Home Baptist Church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6-8 p.m. Edward was a member of Christian Home Baptist Church. He was born on Jan. 20, 1941, in Houston County to Ray Allgood and Dorothy Brookins Allgood. He retired from Houston County Road and Bridge Department after thirty years of service. One of his great joys was hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Barbara Kleiser Allgood of Slocomb; one daughter, Amy Allgood of Slocomb; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Diane Allgood, Dennis and Stacey Allgood, all of Slocomb; four grandsons, Adam Allgood, Blake Allgood, Caleb Allgood, Tyler Allgood; two granddaughters, Madison Allgood and Kimberly Jett; two stepgreat-granddaughters, Brianna Dykes and Aylssa Dykes; one sister and brother-in-law, Faye and Robert Ward of Wicksburg; nephew, niece and a great-nephew. Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb, , is in charge of arrangements.

He married Barbara Francis Kleiser June 5, 1964 in Geneva Co., AL. Barbara was born November 14, 1945 in Geneva Co., AL. Barbara was the daughter of Raymond Richard Kleiser and Mildred Louise Saulmon. Barbara died December 21, 2012 in Slocomb, Geneva Co., AL. OBIT: Mrs. Barbara Allgood of Slocomb passed away Friday, December 21, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 67.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 23 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home with Minister Jim Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in Christian Home Baptist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. and will continue until service time.

Barbara was born on November 14, 1945 in Geneva County to the late Raymond and Mildred Saulmaon Kleiser. She was a member of Christian Home Baptist Church.

Her husband, Edward Allgood preceded her in death.

Survivors include one daughter: Amy Allgood of Slocomb; two sons and daughters-in-law: Kenneth and Diane Allgood, Dennis and Stacey Allgood all of Slocomb; five grandsons: Adam Allgood, Blake Allgood, Caleb Allgood, Tyler Allgood and Luis Garcia-Villarrval; two granddaughters: Madison Allgood and Kimberly Jett; two step great-granddaughters: Brianna Dykes and Aylssa Dykes; one brother, Rudolph Kleiser of Slocomb; nieces and nephews; and many other extended family and friends.
