He married twice. He married Aubrey Dean Byas December 25, 1937 in Bowie, Montague Co., TX. Aubrey was born September 25, 1919 in Shannon, Clay Co., TX. Aubrey is the daughter of Charles Caswell Byas and Gertrude Maude Shockley. He married Sally Ruth 1962. Sally was born December 7, 1926 in Decatur, Wise Co., TX. Sally was the daughter of Marvin Gill and Irene (___). Sally died January 11, 2011 in Bowie, Montague Co., TX. OBIT: Sally Allgood Ensey, 84, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2011 in Bowie, Texas.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Vashti Baptist Church with Greg Fletcher officiating.

Visitation: The family will receive friends Thursday from 12-2 p.m. prior to the service at the Vashti Baptist Church in Vashti, Texas.

Graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville, Texas.

Sally was born December 7, 1926 in Decatur, Texas to Marvin Estes and Irene Ruth (Leonard) Gill. She served as the secretary and treasurer of the Vashti Volunteer Fire Department. Sally was the first woman elected to the Bellevue School Board, and served for six years. She was a member of the Vashti Baptist Church for over thirty years where she also served as the secretary and treasurer. Sally was a devoted mother and grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Irene Gill; two husbands, J.O. Allgood and Jack Ensey; two brothers, Earl Gill and John Gill; three sisters, Mary Otwell, Betty McCann, and Elaine Gill.

She is survived by her son, Randy Allgood of Bellevue; granddaughter, Alexa Anne Allgood of Keller; two brothers, Burl Gill of Arlington and James Gill of Bridgeport; two sisters, Linda Gill of Denton and JoAnn Martin of Granbury; numerous nieces and nephews.

J. O. worked for the C. C. C. early on to supoort his wife and son for the first two years of marriage. In 1939 he started working for the T & P Railroad until enlisting in the United States Army. He served in Japan between 1944 and 1945. After returning from the service he opened and operated a Texaco Service Station and later added two more stations and grocery store in Fort Worth. It was during this time he started driving for Chief Freight Lines. J. O. ran for an elected offce of the Teamsters Union defeating Boy Howell in the early fifties adn became Secretary for Treasurer of Local # 47. He later became the Southern Conference Representative for the Teamster Union and also the President of the Joint Council.
