Horace died May 15, 2003 in Longview, Gregg Co., TX. Services for Horace V. Hogue, 91, of Longview will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2003, at Calvery Christian Tabernacle, 301 E. Hawkins Parkway, with the Rev. Tim Sullivan and the Rev. Michael McGuire officiating. Entombment will be in Rosewood Mausoleum. Arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Hogue died Thursday morning, May 15, 2003, at a Longview nursing center.

He was born Oct. 17, 1911, in Bivins. A former resident of Atlanta, he had resided in Longview for 20 years. Mr. Hogue enjoyed a long and varied career in oil field exploration and energy production, concluding his working years as a core engineer. Mr. Hogue was an active member of the Calvary Christian Tabernacle.

He is survived by his wife, Jimmie Lee Hogue of Longview; his children, James Hogue of Estes Park, Colo., H.V. Hogue Jr. of Tyler, Delores Martin of Jeffersonville, Ind., Patricia Matthews of Wimberley, Jimmy Hogue of Longview and Rebecca Terry of Round Rock; a sister, Opal Alexander of Tyler; 22 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Mr. Hogue was preceded in death by one son, Bill Hogue, and one daughter, Ruth Howard.

Memorials may be made to the Calvary Christian Tabernacle of Longview. The family will receive friends 6-9 p.m. today, May 16, at the funeral home.

He married Jimmie Lu (Lee) Little December 23, 1933 in Miller Co., AR. Jimmie was born November 17,1918 in Bivins, Cass Co., TX. Jimmie was the daughter of James Madison Little and Cora Ina Parker. Jimmie died February 10, 2005 in Longview, Gregg Co., TX. OBIT: Funeral services for Jimmie Lee Hogue, 86, of Longview will be held at Noon Saturday, February 12, 2005 at Calvary Christian Tabernacle with the Reverend A.D. Spears officiating. Entombment will follow in Rosewood Park Chapel Mausoleum under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview, 1617 Judson Road. Mrs. Hogue was born on November 17, 1918 in Bivins, Texas to James and Cora Little. She passed away on February 10, 2005 at her Longview residence. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Christian Tabernacle. A loving mother, and grandmother, Mrs. Hogue was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, H.V. Hogue, Sr.; son, Bill Hogue; and daughter, Ruth Howard. She is survived by her children, James Hogue of Estes Park, Co., H.V. Hogue, Jr., of Tyler, Delores Martin of Clarksville, ID., Patricia Matthews of Wimberly, Jimmy Hogue of Longview, Rebecca Hogue of Austin; 23 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and brother, Hershel Little McLeod. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Friday, February 11, 2005 at the funeral home. "To our Loving Mother, you have been a wonderful Mother to all of your children.
