Joanne died July 5, 2003. JOANNE ALLGOOD FULLER Of Oakmont Drive, Dalton, Georgia, died on July 5th. Joanne was born on November 23, 1930 to Mr. and Mrs. H.M. Allgood of Rockmart, Georgia. Her parents' families had been in Polk and Paulding counties for about 100 years by that time. Her mother's family was largely engaged in farming and teaching, while her father's family owned several businesses in the Rockmart area. A newspaper report from Rockmart when Joanne was four referred to her as "charming little Miss Joanne Allgood." She continued to live up to that description. Joanne attended Wesleyan Conservatory in Macon, Georgia where she studied design. The most important event in her years in Macon, however, was meeting Homer Fuller. The two married in 1950 and had two sons. The family lived in Atlanta, and Joanne designed children's clothes for Toddle Tyke. Her husband's career with C&S Bank brought the Fullers to Dalton in 1969. Joanne was very active in the Dalton First United Methodist Church throughout her years in Dalton, including serving on the Board of Trustees. She served various charitable organizations, most notably Doc-Up and the Dalton Library. Joanne's oldest son, Scott Fuller, passed away in 2001. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Homer Fuller, her son, Clay Fuller of Columbus, and his wife, Susan, her brother, Charles Allgood of Dalton; and his wife Laura. Joanne has four surviving grandchildren, Ashley Fuller and Stephanie Fuller of Duluth; and William Fuller and Jackson Fuller of Columbus. She is also survived by her nephew, Lee Allgood of Dalton; and her niece, Sloan Scarborough of High Point, North Carolina. A memorial service will be held at Dalton First United Methodist Church on July 8, at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends in the church atrium before the service at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requsts contributions be made to Dalton First United Methodist Church.

She married Charles Homer Fuller JR 1951 Walton Co., GA. Charles was born October 17, 1928 in Macon, Bibb Co., GA. Charles died March 19, 2012.

Joanne Allgood and Charles Homer Fuller JR had the following children:
