James died June 27, 1863 in Mahaska Co., IA. James was buried in the Wymore Cemetery, Mahaska Co., IA Civil War- K33, mustered in August 12,1862 at Oskaloosa, disharged May 5, 1863 at Memphis, TN with disability.

She married Samuel Deweese October 18, 1865 in Oskaloosa, Mahaska Co., IA. She married John Samuel Nation August 30,1874 in Mahaska Co., IA. John was born in Sebree, Meade Co. KY.
