Feb. 8, 1922 near Peru. He attended the one-room country school, District #64

Oakdale, and then high school at T.J. Majors Training School in Peru.

Johnnie married Fern J. Rogge of Auburn. To this union were born five children:

Marlene, Marcia, Richard, Jerry and Phillip. This marriage dissolved after 29 years. He

later married Mary (Holmes) Pierce of Watson, Mo., who preceded him in death in

February of 1998.

He served in the U.S. Army in the European Theater during World War II with the 14th

Armored Division. He received his honorable discharge in October of 1945.

Johnnie operated heavy earth-moving equipment, and at one time had his own earthmoving

construction business. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in

Auburn, and belonged to VFW Post #7299 in Peru.

Johnnie became a resident of the Eastern Nebraska Veterans' Home in Bellevue. It was

there he died on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008 at the age of 85 years, 11 months, and four

days.

He is survived by his children and their spouses, Marlene and Bob Ballance of

Russellville, Ky.; Marcia and Carroll Reeves of Peru; Richard and Carolyn Allgood of

Auburn; Jerry Allgood and Phillip and Chris Allgood of Peru; 10 grandchildren; 17

great-grandchildren; sister Edna and husband Kenneth Wheeldon of No. Highlands,

Calif.; a niece and nephew; step-children Steve Cummings, Kathy White and Doris

Born and their families; other relatives and friends.

A graveside memorial service and committal of ashes will be Saturday, Feb. 2 at 2:00 p.

m. at the High Creek Cemetery near Watson, Mo.

Memorials in lieu of flowers are suggested to the Eastern Nebraska Veterans' Home in

Bellevue.

Hemmingsen Funeral Home was in charge of services.

He married twice. He married Fern Joyce Rogge. Fern was born February 16, 1923 in Auburn, Nemaha Co., NE. Fern was the daughter of George Peter Oscar Rogge and Orie Theresa Augusta Tegeler. Fern died June 26, 2002 in Auburn, Nemaha Co., NE. OBIT: Fern Allgood, 79, of Auburn, died Tuesday, June 25, 2002 at the Nemaha County Hospital in Auburn. She is survived by children: Marlene Ballance of Russellville, Ky., Marcia Reeves of Peru, Richard Allgood of Auburn, Jerry Allgood of Peru, and Philip Allgood of Peru; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sisters Bernice Meyers of Auburn and Opal Bohl of Auburn; and one half-sister Lois Hinzman of Norfolk. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2002 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Auburn with burial at Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Peru. Visitation is Friday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Casey-Witzenburg-Hall Funeral Chapel in Auburn is in charge of the arrangements.

He married Mary Holmes Pierce. Mary was born February 10, 1931 in Washington, MO. Mary died February 24, 1998 in Rock Port, Atchison Co., MO.

Johnnie Andrew Allgood and Fern Joyce Rogge had the following children:

18638 iii. Gerald (Jerry) Leroy Allgood was born in Grant Co., IN November 22, 1943. Gerald died April 17, 2011 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. OBIT: Gerald “Jerry” L Allgood, 67, lost his battle with cancer on April 17, 2011, at home in Lake Havasu City. He was born on Nov. 17, 1943, in Indiana. “Jerry-of-all-trades” is best remembered for his dry sense of humor and stories. Jerry enjoyed racing, fishing and riding quads.

Jerry is survived by his soulmate, Debbie Tracy, family and many friends.
