Lottie died March 12, 1936 in Phenix City, Russell Co., AL. Obit: March 12,1936 Columbus, Ga Enquirer After an illness lasting six weeks, mrs Lottie Digby, 37, wife of Roy Digby died Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock at her residence, 01 Tenth Ave., Phenix City. Mrs Digby had made her home in Phenix City all her life and had endeared herself to many friends who will learn of her death with regret. Besides her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Cozett, Cleone and Betty Jane (Jean) Digby; two sons, Roy, Jr and Winford Digby; three brothers Lester (Leslie), Marvin and Thomas Newsome. Funeral services will be conducted at this Friday sometime, the hour to be announced later. March 13,1936: Funeral services for Mrs Lottie Digby,37 wife of Roy Digby, who died Wednesday afternoon in Phenix City, will be held this afternoon at 3:00 o'clock at the residence 701 Tenth Avenue. Rev A J Cone will conduct the services and interment will be in the Newsome Cemetery on the Opelika road. Pallbearers. J B Bryant, Stewart McCollister, Otis Nelson, W W Davis, Dan Chappell and George Taunton.
She married Roy Montgomery Digby August 24, 1919 in Columbus, Muscogee Co., GA. Roy was born September 2, 1894 in Rome, Tallapoosa Co., AL. Roy was the son of Sam Digby and Libby (___).
