Surviving are her husband of 74 years Paul Franklin Dinkins; her children Pauline Dinkins (Harvey) Parks, Winston-Salem; Henry L. (Pat) Dinkins, Pfafftown; Margaret Dinkins Spillman, Yadkinville; one sister Versie Marie Shore; one brother Calvin Allgood; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Thursday February 25, 2010 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday February 25, 2010 at Gentry Family Chapel by the rev Scott Welch. Burial will follow at Turners Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Paul died July 9, 2010 in Yadkinville, Yadkin Co., NC. OBIT: Paul Franklin Dinkins, 100, passed away Friday, July 9, 2010 at Yadkin Nursing Care Center. He was born January 24, 1910 in Yadkin County to the late Jimmy and Mary Whitlock Dinkins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 74 years, Oma Allgood Dinkins. Surviving are his children, Pauline Dinkins (Harvey) Parks, Henry L. (Pat) Dinkins, Margaret Dinkins Spillman; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Rachel Smitherman; and brother, James (Helen) Dinkins. His Funeral Service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 11, 2010 at Turners Creek Baptist Church by the Rev. Bobby Russell and the Rev. Scott Welch. Burial will follow at Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, prior to the Service at Turners Creek Baptist Church.
