William died March 28, 2002 in Reidsville, Rockingham Co., NC. OBIT: William Arnold Allgood, 74, died Thursday, March 28, 2002.The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2002, at Citty Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
The family will see friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2002, at Citty Funeral Home.
He married Dorothy Crouch. Dorothy was born October 28, 1924. Dorothy was the daughter of Thomas Walter Crouch and Marha Lula Gilley. Dorothy died January 12, 2012 in Greensboro, Rockingham Co., NC. OBIT: Dorothy Crouch Allgood, 87, of the Starmount Golden Living Center in Greensboro, NC went to be with the Lord Thursday January 12, 2012 at the nursing center.
Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday January 14, 2012 in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
A native of Eden, NC, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Walter and Martha Gilley Crouch and had moved back to Rockingham County in 1987 from Florida. She was a former waitress at the Holiday Inn in Jacksonville, FL and was preceded in death by her husband William A. Allgood, daughter: Sandra Faye "Jo" Norton, grandson: Michael Scott Deatherage, two brothers and five sisters.
Surviving: two daughters: Lori A. Durham and husband Glenn of Greensboro, NC and Brenda A. Jamison of South Hill, VA, sister: Magdalene Hyatt of Greensboro, NC, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
There will be no formal visitation. The family will see friends following the service at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
