12606 ii. Margie Margaret Allgood was born in Mc Leansville, Guilford Co., NC May 11, 1926. Margie died August 9, 2014 in Davidson Co., NC. OBIT: MARGIE Allgood Embry a resident of Piedmont Crossing passed away on August 9, 2014 at Hospice Hinkle House of Davidson County. Margie was born on May 11, 1926 in High Point, NC. She was the daughter of John Howard Allgood and Hazel Carter Allgood. On March 24, 1945 Margie married the love of her life Lee James Embry. She was happily married for 69 years to Lee who passed away on April 10, 2014. After graduating from High Point High School, Margie worked with the United States War Department. She later worked at Burlington Industries and retired from the Davidson County Department of Social Services. She was a member of West End United Methodist Church where she sang in the church choir, was a member of the United Methodist Women and served her church family in many other capacities. If any member of her church family needed assistance she was always there to help. Margie was an excellent craftsperson. She enjoyed painting, quilting, crocheting and with her husband Lee created some very beautiful Old World Santas. She took great pride in her home and always enjoyed entertaining family and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lee and a brother, Elmo S. Allgood. Surviving are her daughter, Sharon Embry Fouts of Greensboro, grandchildren Lenora Fouts Kraft and her husband Andy of Apex and George Fouts, Jr. and wife Lisa of Jamestown. Also surviving Margie are four great- grandchildren, Camden Elizabeth Kraft, Hunter Andrew Kraft, Carson Michael Fouts and Nathan Brinkley Fouts. In addition she survived by two brothers-in law, Bud Embry of Thomasville and Boley Embry of Alexandria Virginia as well as a number of very special nieces, nephews and cousins.Services for Margie will be held at JC Green and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville, on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 11 a.m. The family will greet other family members and guests one hour before the service from 10 11 a.m. Rev. Myra Ward Brown will preside at the service. She married Lee James Embry March 24, 1945.

Lee was born May, 10, 1920 in Banks Co., GA. Lee was the son of Jessie Joseph Embry and Lucy Lenora Lord. Lee died April 10, 2014 in Lexington, Davidson Co., NC. OBIT: Lee James Embry, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Hinkle Hospice House of Davidson County. Born in Banks County Georgia on May 10, 1920, Mr. Embry was the son of Jesse Joseph Embry and Lenora Lord Embry. He was a lifelong resident of Thomasville and had most recently resided at Piedmont Crossing in Thomasville. He attended the Thomasville City Schools. Mr. Embry was an active member of West End United Methodist Church where he served in many roles over the past sixty years. He was also a past member of the Thomasville Civitan Club. He served in the United States Army in Panama during World War II. He and his family owned and operated Embry Laundry and Cleaners in Thomasville until his retirement. He was always there to help anyone in need or lend a helping hand. In 1945 he married the love of his life, Margie Allgood Embry. One of his final days was spent recently celebrating their 69th wedding anniversary. They affectionally called each other "The Happy Embrys!" She will always be his sweetheart. He was the great grandfather of Camden Elizabeth Kraft, Hunter Andrew Kraft, Carson Michael Fouts and Nathan Brinkley Fouts. Mr. Embry is also survived by two brothers, Bud Embry of Thomasville and Boley Embry of Alexandria, Virginia. Preceding him in death were three sisters, Jesse Miller, Roberta Parsons and Irene Lawson. Services for Mr. Embry will be held at JC Green and Sons Funeral Home on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at 3:00 pm. The family will receive family and friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Holly Hill Cemetery.
