Louise died July 14, 2002 in Tulsa, Tulsa Co, OK. OBIT: Louise Mae Longan, 79, Stillwater, died Sunday, July 14, 2002, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Strode Chapel. Rev. Larry Eslinger will officiate. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Longan was born Sept. 2, 1922, near Mulhall, to Robert L. and Mamie C. (Ebbeler) Johnson. She married John Thomas July 6, 1942, in Stillwater. This union ended in divorce and she married Clifford Longan Dec. 4, 1979, in Okemah. The couple lived in Chandler until his death in 1985. She then moved back to Stillwater to be near her family.
Longan was employed by the Stillwater Board of Education as a cook at the junior and senior high schools and later as a custodian. Helping with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant very much to her.She was a member of the Southside Baptist Church where she taught a girls' Sunday school class and worked in Bible school for many years.
Longan was predeceased by her husband; her parents; three brothers, Glenn, Chester and Ervin; and one sister, Lora Hunt.
She is survived by her two sons, John Thomas and his wife Karen of Missouri City, Texas and Bob Thomas and his wife Linda of Stillwater; four grandchildren, Johnna Thomas Leider and her husband Chuck of Sugar Land, Texas, Brian Thomas and his wife Brenda of Perry, Leesa Thomas Silver of Lewisville, Texas and Michael Thomas of Ponca City; four great grandchildren, Shawn K. Newell of Orange, Texas, Brady Thomas of Columbus, Texas, Lauren Elizabeth Leider of Sugar Land, Texas and Keaton Michael Thomas of Ponca City; one brother, Jack Johnson of Stillwater; and a twin sister, Lenora Moore of Claremore.
Pallbearers will be Brian Thomas, Mike Thomas, Bret Robinson, Chuck Leider, Mike Kirkwood and Terry Schroeder.

She married twice. She married John Thomas July 6, 1942 in Stillwater, Payne Co., OK. She married Clifford Herbert Longan December 4,1979 in Okemah, Okfuskee Co., OK. Clifford was born April 24, 1905. Clifford was the son of Charles Willis Longan and Susan Frances Watkins. Clifford died February 1985.
