He married Violet Lucille Henry February 19, 1937 in Shenandoah, Page Co., IA. Violet was born September 11, 1915. Violet was the daughter of Hugh H. Henry and Grace E. Evans. Violet died March 28, 2007 in Leavenworth, Leavonworth co., KS. Obit: Violet Hinkle, 91, Mound City, formerly Bigelow, Mo., passed away March 28, 2007, at a Leavenworth, Kan., hospital. Born near Bigelow, she graduated from Fortescue, Mo., high school. In 1937, she married William J. Hinkle. He preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Grace (Evans) Henry; a sister; six brothers; her son, Billy Jack Henry; two daughters, Marilyn Henry and Patty Derr; and great-grandson, Brenden Acklin. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Kenneth Young, Agency, Mo.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Open visitation will begin at 8 a.m. Friday and the funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Chamberlain Funeral Home, Mound City. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Mound City.
