Fredrick died Decembser 1963. Obit: Fred S. Blacketter Last rites were conducted this afternoon at the Ditmire-Davidson funeral home in Fulton for Fred S. BLACKETTER, 82, Fulton, who died at a.m. Saturday in Woodlawn hospital after a brief illness. The Rev. Everett NIXON officiated at the services and burial was in the Fulton cemetery. Mr. Blacketter was born in Columbus on March 28, 1881, the son of Sylvanus and Martha DINKINS BLACKETTER. His marriage was Nov. 27, 1906, to Mary Hazel STUDEBAKER, who survives. He was a retired carpenter and a member of the Fullton E.U.B. church. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn STURGEON, Birmingham, Mich.; one brother, Ray [BLACKETTER], Detroit; two grandchildren and one grat-grandchild.h

He married Mary Hazel Studebaker November 27,1906 in Fulton Co., IN. Mary was born March 6, 1888 in Logansport, Cass Co., IN. Mary was the daughter of Joseph Studebaker and Emma J. Zook. Mary died November 4,1966 in Rochester, Fulton Co., IN. Obit: Mrs. Mary Hazel BLACKKETTER, 78, Fulton, a former three-year resident of the Miller Nursing Home, died today at 2 a.m. at Woodlawn hospital. The daughter of Joseph and Emma J. ZOOK STUDEBAKER, she was married to Fred BLACKKETTER, a carpenter who died in 1963. A daughter, Mrs. Fred J. (Evelyn) STURGESS, residing at Birmingham, Mich., is believed to be the lone survivor. She has been notified and due to arrive at Fulton this afternoon. Rites are pending at the Ditmire-Zimmerman funeral home at Fulton.

Last rites will be Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Ditmire-Zimmerman funeral home at Fulton for Mrs. Mary Hazel BLACKKETTER, 78, Fulton, who died Tuesday morning in Woodlawn hospital. Death came after a long illness. Mrs. Blackketter had been a nursing home patient since Jan. 1, 1964. The Rev. Philip ISGRIGG will officiate at rites and burial will be in the Fulton cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. Born March 6, 1888, in Logansport, Mrs. Blackketter was the daughter of Joseph and Emma STUDEBAKER. Her marriage was Nov. 29, 1906, near Fulton to Fred S. BLACKKETTER, who died Dec. 28, 1963. A member of the Fulton E.U.B. church, she lived in Fulton 35 years, having moved to Detroit in 1928 and returning in 1931. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Fred (Evelyn) STURGESS, Birmingham, Mich.; one sister, Mrs. Marie DENNIS, Wyandotte, Mich.; two grandsons, James STURGESS, Sturgis, Mich., and David STURGESS, Birmingham, Mich.; one great-grandson, Jeffery STURGESS, Sturgis, Mich., and cousins.
