He married Rubene Alexander 1933. Rubene was born January 6, 1913 in Calloway Co., KY. Rubene was the daughter of Isaac Marvin Alexander and Pearl Logan. Rubene died November 9, 1983 in Las Cruces, Dona, Ana Co., NM.

Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Central Church of Christ chapel.
Gene was born Nov. 26, 1937, to John and Rubene Cutler in Detroit, but grew up in Carlsbad, N.M. Gene attended Abilene Christian College from 1955 to 1958 and earned a master’s degree in chemical engineering from Texas Tech in 1963. Gene worked for Dow Chemical for his entire career. Gene married Carol Morgan on Sept. 2, 1999, in Amarillo. He was a faithful member of Belton Church of Christ and Central Church of Christ. He was an artist, loved music and sang in a barbershop quartet. Gene also enjoyed camping and fishing. He always had a smile on his face.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a stepson, Scott Morgan.
Survivors include his loving wife, Carol Cutler of Amarillo; two stepdaughters, Rebecca Smith of College Station and Karen Cooper of Amarillo; 7 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
He married twice.
He married Donna J Lester July 30, 1988 in Scurry, Kaufman Co., TX. Donna was born 1951. He married Carol O Morgan September 2,1999 in Potter Co., TX. Carol was born 1936.
