OBIT: Emmett (Mett) Carl Prince III, age 36, of LaGrange, Illinois, passed away on August 4, 2012. He was born September 7, 1975, in Carrollton, Georgia, the son of Teresa Prince Gilson and the late Emmett Carl Prince Jr.
Mr. Prince graduated from Carrollton High School and the University of Georgia. He was a Director at Endurance Insurance Company in Chicago, Ill.
Mr. Prince’s life was filled with love for his family and friends. Even when he was very ill, he was concerned only for his wife, family and friends. He lived his life with dignity and humor. He was passionate about his dogs, Marcus and Kit, and the Georgia Bulldogs.
Mr. Prince was the beloved husband of Deborah Walas Prince; loving son of Teresa Prince (Lowell) Gilson; dear brother of Shannon Prince (Stephen) Dann and adoring uncle of Sarah Prince Dann and Thomas Carl W. Dann of Tampa, Florida; dear grandson of Helen Allgood Hurt and the late Harold M. Hurt of Rockmart, Georgia, and the late Emmett Carl and Nell Hardy Prince of Carrollton; son-in-law of Walter and the late Carol Walas; brother-in-law of Natalie (Michael) Carlton, Walter (Trista) Walas, and Thomas (Fiancee Santina Sgro) Walas; uncle of Kristin and Sarah Carlton and Erica Walas, all of Chicago, Illinois.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church in Carrollton with Rev. Lanny Reich officiating. Eulogies will be given by friends, Will Mason and Brad Wilks.
