Mary died September 19, 2006 in Calvert City, Marshall Co., KY. Obit: Mary Jane Dees, 69, of Calvert City died at 6:10 a.m. Tuesday at Calvert City Convalescent Center.

Mrs. Dees was a former secretary at Air Products, and was a member of First Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, John L. Dees; one daughter, Leslie Jane Dees Gray of Benton; one son, John Christopher Dees of Terre Haute, Ind.; one brother, Rupert Allgood Jr. of Calvert City; and two grandchildren, Lyndsey Marie Gray and Jacob Anthony Gray, both of Benton.

She was preceded in death by one sister. Her parents were Rupert Allgood and Clemmie Tynes Allgood.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Dees Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Nichols officiating.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. Friday at Collier Funeral Home in Benton.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society, 3140 Parisa Drive, Paducah, KY 42003; or Calvert City Convalescent Center, 2 Cox Manor Drive, Calvert City, KY 42029.

She married twice. She married John Less Dees. John was born May 21, 1926 in Calvert City, Marshall Co., KY. John was the son of Fred Thomas Dees and Martha Ethel Covington. John died September 2, 2012 in Benton, Marshall Co., KY. OBIT: Mr. John Less Dees, 86 of Calvert City, KY died Sunday, September 2, 2012 at 3:02 a.m. at the Lake Way Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Benton, KY. He was a retired pipefitter with B.F. Goodrich Chemical Company and Westlake Polymers of Calvert City, KY. He was a World War II Veteran, serving in the 39th infantry regiment, 9th division of the Army. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Calvert City, KY. He is survived by one daughter, Leslie Jane (Dees) Gray and husband Tony Alan Gray of Benton, KY., one son, John Christopher Dees of Jasper, IN., two grandchildren, Lyndsey Marie Gray and Jacob Anthony Gray both of Benton, KY. One brother, Fred Thomas Dees Jr. of Calvert City, KY also survives. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Jane (Allgood) Dees, and sister, Daisy Martha Pierce. Also preceding in death were his parents, Fred Thomas Dees, Sr., and Martha (Covington) Dees. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Dees Cemetery in Calvert City, KY. Bro. Charles Frazier will officiate. Interment is to follow in the Dees Cemetery, Calvert City, KY.
