James died December 13, 2012 in Stoddard Co., MO. OBIT: James Richard Algood, son of the late James Harrison Algood and Altheline Harper Algood, was born on September 19, 1956, in Paducah, Kentucky, and departed this life at his residence in Dexter, Missouri, on December 13, 2012, at the age of 56.

Mr. Algood was a resident of Dexter, and he was a member of the Stokelan Drive Christian Church in Malden, Missouri. He was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and as a foreman at Noranda Aluminum in New Madrid, Missouri.

He was united in marriage to Debra Joy Tracer on June 30, 2001, in Malden, Missouri. Debra preceded him in death on August 25, 2010.

He is survived by one son, Jeremy Algood, of Bernie, Missouri; by one stepson, David T. Miller, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; by one stepdaughter, Cara M. Dillinger, of Bernie, Missouri; and by two step-grandchildren, Nate and Alexa Dillinger.

Besides his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by one brother, Alan Dale Algood, and by one sister, Margaret Algood.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Monday, December 17, 2012. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at 10:00 A.M., at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Dan Hargrave officiating. Interment will follow at the Bethlehem Cemetery in Palma, Kentucky.

He married twice. He married Debra Joy Tracer June 30, 2001 in Malden, MO. Debra was born September 25, 1952 in Poplar Bluff. Debra was the daughter of Carl Russell Tracer and Violet Marguerite (___). Debra died August 25, 2010 in Dexter, Stoddard Co., MO. OBIT: Debra Algood, daughter of Violet Tracer-Cooper of Dexter and the late Carl Tracer was born on September 25, 1952 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and departed this life suddenly on August 25, 2010 at the age of 57 years.

Mrs. Algood graduated from Dexter High School in 1970, she retired from Malden School District as a Teacher in 2005, a member of the Stoklan Drive Christian Church in Malden, participated as a mentor with Celebrate Recovery in Malden and Dexter, and was a resident of Dexter.

On June 30, 2001 she was united in marriage to Jim Algood in Malden, Missouri. Mr. Algood survives of the home in Dexter.

Besides her husband, Jim Algood and her mother, Violet Tracer-Cooper both of Dexter, other survivors include one son, David T. Miller of Bernie, Missouri; one daughter, Cara M. Dillinger of Bernie, by one step-son, Jeremy Algood of Bernie; one brother, Carl Tracer Jr. of Colorado Springs, Colorado, by one sister, Bonita Tracer of St. Charles, Missouri; also by two grandchildren, Nate Dillinger and Alexa Dillinger both of Bernie.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from Noon until 2:00 P.M. Saturday August 28, 2010. Memorial services will then be conducted on Saturday at 2:00 P.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Pastor Dan Hargrave officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Bethel Cemetery in Dexter.
