He wasborn 27 July 1904, near Atlas, a son of William W. and Margaret Henderson Manker. He farmed in Pike Co in his younger years and retired fromthe Brown Shoe Co after 15 years. He married Muriel Gilmore October 29,1929, in Lincoln, NB, she survives. Also surviving are a son William Mankerof Pittsfield; a daughter, Mrs Harold (Adline) Walston of Pittsfield; a brother Lynn Manker of Pittsfield; three sisters, Mrs Arthur(Effie)Doyle of Pittsfield, Mr Clarence (Beulah) Doyle of Medora and Mrs George(Eva) Barber of Jacksonville; 9 Grandchildren & 8 Greatgrandchildren.Burial will be in Smith Cemeterynear Milton.

He married Muriel Gilmore October 29, 1929 in Lincoln, Lancaster Co., NE. Muriel was born January 9, 1907. Muriel died June 1982 in Pittsfield, Pike Co., IL.
