Dwane died November 9, 2007 in Keokuk, Lee Co., IA. OBIT: Duane Lavern Allgood, 72, of Delta passed away Friday, November 9, 2007 at the Keokuk County Health Center in Sigourney. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at the Harden Funeral Chapel in What Cheer with Pastor Vince Homan officiating. Visitation will begin 12:00 Tuesday. Duane Lavern Allgood , the son of Paul Allgood and Helen Bradly Allgood, was born October 10, 1935 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. Duane graduated high school in New York. Early on in Duane’s life he developed a knack for wood working and tinkering. He began his self employed career in construction right after high school. He worked most of his life in Jacksonville, FL., and surrounding areas. On June 15, 1978 he was united in marriage to Sharon Carroll in Oskaloosa, Iowa.
Duane’s memory will be honored by his wife Sharon; two daughters, Samantha Simons, Tabatha Allgood; two step sons, John (Lynette)Hamilton, Kenny Chenet; four step daughters, Yvette Hamilton, Rochelle(John) Vertz, Sandra Shunk, Brandy Russell; one sister, Beverly(Fred) Huebner. He was also blessed with twenty-eight grand children and four great grand children.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Duane Allgood Jr., and a brother, Dwight Allgood.
He married Sharon Rochelle Carroll June 15, 1978 in Oskaloosa, Mahaska Co., IA. Sharon was born October 8,1947 in Mt Pleasant, IA. Sharon was the daughter of Wayne Carroll and Vivian Fischer. Sharon died September 23, 2021 in Kirksville, Adair Co., MO.
Dwane Laverne Allgood and Sharon Rochelle Carroll had the following children:
