He married Stella Irene Akers January 12, 1927 in Ironton, Iron Co, MO. Stella was born May 4, 1911 in Shepard, MO. Stella was the daughter of Edgar Akers and Emma Bell. Stella died January 28, 2002 in Potosi, Washington Co., MO. Obit: Stella Irene Fryman of Potosi, Mo., passed away Monday, January 28, 2002 in Washington County Memorial Hospital, at the age of 90 years, 8 months and 24 days. She was born on May 4, 1911 at Shepard, Mo., to the late Edgar and Emma (Bell) Akers.
Stella was united in marriage to James Charles Everett Fryman on January 12, 1927 at Ironton, Mo., and five sons were born to this union. Her husband preceded her in death on September 8, 1992. She was also preceded in death by one son, Gary Wayne Fryman and one sister, Mildred Mahurin.
Those who remain to mourn her passing are four sons, Junior Fryman and special friend, Brenda Eaton of Potosi; Leo "Cotton" Fryman and wife Maxine of Grandview, Mo.; Pug Fryman and wife Shirley of Potosi and Ronnie Fryman and wife Sharon of Potosi; four brothers, Ansil Akers and wife Lila of Gravois Mills; Lowell Akers and wife Helen of Sullivan; John Akers and wife Esther of Sullivan and Willard Akers of Eureka; one sister, Marie Fears of Normal, Illinois; sisters-in-law, Imagene Maness and Retha Dobbs; grandchildren, Randy Fryman and wife Glennes, Brian Fryman, Jeff Fryman and wife Patty, Ronda Fryman, Stephanie Johnston and husband Don, Bendy Kean and husband Wayne and Lisa Jo Heflin and husband Mike; 9 great grandchildren, Gary, Kyle, Nicholas, Bryan, Katie, Colby, Dakota, Sarah and Austin; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 P.M. Wednesay, January 30, 2002 at Britton Chapel, Potosi, with Rev. Leonard Compton and Rev. Allan Wilkerson officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Randy Fryman, Jeff Fryman, Gary Fryman, Edwin Fryman, Mike Heflin and Don Johnston. Honorary pallbearers were: Kyle Fryman, Colby Kean, Sarah Heflin, Dakota Kean and Austin Heflin.
Interment was in White Oak Grove Cemetery, Shirley [Mo.], under the direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
James Charles Everett Fryman and Stella Irene Akers had the following children:
