Pete died April 16, 2006 in Iowa City, Johnson Co., IA. Obit: OTTUMWA — Pete W. Amber, 44, of Ottumwa, and formerly of Oskaloosa, died Sunday, April 16, 2006, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.
He was born October 15, 1961, the son of Francis and Ethel Sage Williams, but later adopted and raised by William and Julia Amber.
Early in his adult life, he worked for Tinker Tooling in Des Moines, and lately was self employed in general construction.
His family includes a daughter, Amber Hill of Ottumwa; two grandchildren, Brandon and Vanessa; a brother, Joey Iseton of Ottumwa; and two sisters, Jeanette Rankin and Sue DeHeer, both of Pella; a special friend, Marcella Davis of What Cheer; and a special cousin, Sandy Garden Exline.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his adoptive parents.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa. Burial will be in the Forest Cemetery in Oskaloosa.
Visitation will begin Wednesday after 4 p.m., and the family will be at the funeral chapel on Wednesday from 6:30–8 p.m. to greet friends and relatives.
