Dallas died March 20, 2008 in Brookhaven, Lincoln Co., MS. OBIT: Services for Dallas V. Anding, of Brookhaven, will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 23, at Macedonia Baptist Church in Brookhaven with burial in the church cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home on Jackson Street is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Anding, 87, died March 20, 2008, at King's Daughters Medical Center. He was born in Lincoln County on Jan. 6, 1921, to Johnston J. "J.J" Anding. and Eunice Case Anding. He was retired from his work as a self-employed building contractor and millworker. He was the owner of Mississippi Millworks and built church furniture for many churches throughout the South. He was a lifelong member of Macedonia Baptist Church, where he was a member of the Harold Smith Sunday School Class. He rebuilt the church after the original structure was lost to fire. He was formerly active in the Civitan Club and was a member of the Brookhaven Masonic Lodge. __Preceding him in death were his parents; his first wife, Gladys Smith Anding; his daughter, Linda Kay Terrell; his infant daughter, Glenda Fay Anding; his brother, Carlos "Kit" Anding; and his sisters, Yvonne Boyte and Mavis Smith. Survivors are his wife, Aleene Anding, of Brookhaven; his son, Nelson Anding, of Brookhaven; his stepsons, Bobby Caraway, of Clinton, and Michael Caraway, of Decatur, Ala.; his daughter, Marbeth Jordan and husband Reuben Jordan, of Brookhaven; his stepdaughter, Georgia Weeks, of Bolton; his brother, Denver Anding and wife Esiz Lee, of Brookhaven; his sister, Eva Nations and husband Curtis, of Brookhaven; his son-in-law, Gabe Terrell, of Brookhaven; his 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Jason Anding, Chris Terrell, Jamie Weeks, Dusty Bratton, Trent Thurman and Dean Thurman. Honorary pallbearers are the members of the Harold Smith Sunday School Class of Macedonia Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to the Macedonia Baptist Church Building Fund, or the American Cancer Society.

He married twice. He married Gladys Smith. Gladys was born March 11, 1921 in Brookhaven, Lincoln Co., MS. Gladys was the daughter of Henry Casson Smith and Eugenia (Genie) Smith. Gladys died August 11, 1977 in Lincoln Co., MS. Gladys was buried in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery, Lincoln Co., MS.
