Services were 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, at Brookhaven Funeral Home. Visitation was Sept. 7 from 12 until 2 p.m, with burial in Forest Lawn
Cemetery in Norfolk, Va., at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9.
Mrs. Driskill was a native of Lincoln County. She was a daughter of Mrs. Ruth and Mr. Elias Newton. She was the widow of Mr. Lestley W.
Driskill, of Norfolk. She lived 54 years in Norfolk.
Mrs. Driskill taught school six years in Lincoln County and 22 years in the Norfolk city schools. She graduated from Brookhaven High School
and Whitworth College in Brookhaven. She received her bachelor's degree from William and Mary College of Virginia.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Brookhaven.
Survivors include her brothers, Roscoe Newton and Sherman L. Newton; her sisters, Nora West and Ella Sandidge, all of Brookhaven; and
several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was in preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brothers, Richard E. Newton Jr., Robert Higdon Newton, and Marshal G. Newton;
and her sisters, Elsie Bowman and Annie Ruth Newton.
She married Lestley W. Driskill.
Lestley was born March 9, 1911 in Norfolk, VA. Lestley died April 16, 1987. Lestley and Kathleen are buried in the Forest Lawn Cemetery Norfolk,VA
