Charles died July 29, 2016 in Brookhaven, Lincoln Co., MS. OBIT: Funeral Services for Mr. Charles E. Sandifer, Sr. of Brookhaven are 11:00 am Monday August 1, 2016 at Bethel Temple Pentecostal Church with burial at the church cemetery. Visitation is Sunday, July 31, from 4-8 pm at Riverwood Family Funeral Service and also on Monday from 10:00-until time of service at the Church. Mr. Charles E. Sandifer, Sr. passed away July 29, 2016 at his residence. He was born on July 28, 1930 to Ewing D. Sandifer, Sr. and Pearlie Mae Bryant Sandifer. He was retired from MDOT as a Civil Engineer and was a member of Bethel Temple Pentecostal Church. Preceding him in death were his wife, Belva Allen Sandifer; parents, Ewing and Pearlie Sandifer; son, Donald Allen Sandifer; daughter, Sheryl Belinda Sandifer Parent; brothers, E.D. Sandifer, Jr., W.P. Sandifer, John Sandifer and sister, Ruby Nell Berry. Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Charles Sandifer, Jr. and wife Nina; daughter, Gail Sandifer Gray and husband Ricky; brothers, Gary Sandifer and wife Grace, Maxie D. Sandifer and wife Clara; sister, Julia P. Sandifer; son-in-law, L.J. Parent; daughter-in-law, Winnie Sandifer; 8 grandchildren, Erin Parent, Joey Parent and wife Amber, Meagan Bermous and husband Roman, Jamie Sandifer and wife Nikki, Emily Busby and husband Derrick, Brandy Campbell and husband Chris, John Gray and Mary Katharine Gray. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Carroll Allen and wife Dianne; sisters-in-law, Winifred Hamilton and husband J.J., Ovia “Doodle” Sandifer, Betty Sandifer, Shirley Sandifer and special friends and caregivers, Phyllis Francis and husband Jimmy and Lisa Brown and husband Bill.
He married Belva Allen. Belva was born January 17, 1929. Belva was the daughter of Fred Allen and Myrtis Martin. Belva died February 18, 2015 in Brookhaven, Lincoln Co., MS. OBIT: Funeral service for Mrs. Belva Allen Sandifer will be 11:00 am, Friday, February 20, 2015 at Bethel Temple Pentecostal Church with nterment in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 pm, Thursday, February 19 at Riverwood Family Funeral Service and will resume Friday from 10:00 am until time of service at the church. Mrs. Sandifer, 85, passed away February 18, 2015 at her residence. She was born January 17, 1929 to Fred Allen and Myrtis Martin Allen. She was a Nurse at Georgia Pacific and a member of Bethel Temple Pentecostal Church. Mrs. Sandifer was preceded in death by her parents; on Donald A. Sandifer; and daughter Sheryl S. Parent. She is survived by her husband Charles “Buddy” Sandifer; son, Charles E. Sandifer, Jr. & wife Nina; daughter Gail Gray & husband Ricky; son-in-law, L.J. Parent; daughter-in-law, Winnie Sandifer; brother Carroll Allen & wife Diann; sister Winifred Hamilton & husband J.J.; 8 grandchildren L.J. “Joey Parent, Jr. & wife Amber, Erin Parent, Meagan Bermous & husband Roman, Jamie Sandifer & wife Nikki, Emily Busby & husband Derrick, Brandy Campbell & husband Chris, John S. Gray & Mary Katherine Gray; and 4 great grandchildren.
