He was born on December 14, 1941 to Dallas and Gladys Smith Anding. He was a 1960 graduate of Brookhaven High School and a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi. He was a Directional Driller in the Oil and Gas Industry. And was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Kay Terrell. He is survived by his wife Joy Harlene Smith Anding; son, Jason Anding and wife Staci; daughter, Jessica Anding and step-daughter Joy Ladd; sister, Marbeth Jordan and husband Reuben and his three grandchildren, Gray Anding, Marin Anding, and Amelia Anding. He is also survived by his brother in law Gabe Terrell and 4 nieces and one nephew.
