He married Martha (Mattie) Brown March 24, 1866 in Haywood, TN. Martha was born October 15, 1852 in Rome, Tallapoosa Co., AL. Martha was the daughter of Andrew Brown and Ann Plumlee. Martha died February 7, 1911 in Mangum, Greer Co., OK. Martha was buried in the Riverside Cemetery, Mangum, Greer Co., OK

+ 1914 ii. Lula Mae Childers was born February 3, 1873.

+ 1915 iii. Susan Childers was born October 20, 1875.

1916 iv. Minnie Bell Childers was born in MO October 1879. Minnie died in Lamesa. She married James (Jim) Hawkins.

+ 1917 v. William (Will) C. Childers was born September 1882.

+ 1918 vi. Fred C. Childers was born October 1886.
