Hilbert died May 1, 1991 in Denton Co., TX. OBIT: It was on June 19, 1915, in Corinth, Texas that Will and Nora Pockrus were made the glad parents of a son, H. W. "Pete" Pockrus. Pete grew up knowing the value of hard work and treating people right. Later in his life, Pete met a lovely girl that he fell in love with. Alice Blagg and Pete Pockrus were to be joined in marriage October 13, 1940. Only this past October, they celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary with about 300 friends and family coming together to congratulate them and wish them well. To this happy union was given two very special gifts: two children---Dennis and Anita. Pete's joy and pride of two wonderful children could only be doubled when he became a grandfather of three grand-children and one great grandchild. For 45 years, Pete owned and operated H. W. "Pete" Pockrus Water Well Drilling, Pump Service and Sales here in Denton. His work was something that he loved and fave of himself to his customers. Pete was a member of Bethel Temple Church. In his homecoming, he leaves behind his wife Alice; his son and daughter Dennis and Anita; his two sisters, Cecil Hilger and Edna Harris; a half-brother Marvin Oliver; and three grandchildren and one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

He married Alice Lorain Blagg October 13, 1940. Alice was born December 2, 1918 in Denton, Denton Co., TX. Alice was the daughter of Calip Bart Blagg and Mary Stella Gregory. Alice died January 21, 2015 in Denton, Denton Co., TX. OBIT: Alice Pockrus, 96, of Denton passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2015 in Denton. She was born December 2, 1918 in Denton County to Calip Bart and Mary Stella Gregory Blagg. She married H.W. “Pete” Pockrus on October 13, 1940. He preceded her in death. She was retired as a bookkeeper, was a member of Glory of Zion Church, had been very active in PTA and instrumental in clearing the Denton Trade Square, served many years as Secretary/Treasurer for Shiloh Cemetery and a director of entertainment at Senior Citizen Center.

Alice is survived by her son, Dennis Pockrus and wife Elizabeth, daughter, Anita Anderson and husband Don; grandchildren: Erin Cantu and husband Al, Kena Gandy and husband Scott, Tad Riney and wife Tera; great grandchildren, Al Cantu III, Dawson and Kinsey Gandy, Gracie and Tate Riney. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, 4 sisters, 2 brothers, grandson, Ross David Pockrus and great grandson, Andrew Cantu.
