15912. William Ray⁸ Carr (Nona Emma⁷ Ely, Baron Dekalb⁶, Susan Ann⁵ Childers, Elizabeth⁴ Allgood, John³, Ishmael², Edward¹) was born in High Island, TX December 4, 1933. William died February 13, 2004 in Terrebonne, Deschutes Co., OR. OBIT: William Ray Carr of Crooked River Ranch died Feb. 13 of natural causes. He was 70. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, at the Crooked River Ranch Chapel. Mr. Carr was born Dec. 4, 1933, in High Island, Texas, to Clarence and Nona (Ely) Carr. He served in the Air Force and Marines. Mr. Carr married Judith Bergren in 1988 in Vancouver, Wash. He worked as a cement mason of Local 555 and the Owens Illinois Glass Company in Portland. Mr. Carr was an honor guard with American Legion, Cape Horn Post 122. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Brookings, Voiture Nationale Chapter 99, the Bethel Lutheran Church in Brush Prairie, Wash., and the Crooked River Ranch Chapel. Mr. Carr enjoyed entertaining friends, playing the ukulele, singing ballads, flying, boating, riding motorcycles and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife of Crooked River Ranch; a son, Aaron of Vancouver, Wash.; two stepsons, Ken and Jim Bergren, both of Battle Ground, Wash.; a daughter, Christiana Hobart of Lytle, Texas; four sisters, Lola Dearman, Ruth Coffey, Joyce McCown and Margaret Dutton, all of Texas; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife and a brother. Memorial contributions may be made to Habitat for Humanity.

He married Judith Bergren 1988 in Vancouver, Clark Co., WA.
