Wilma died August 16, 2004 in Okeechobee, Okeechobee Co., FL. OBIT: Wilma A. Chandler, age 84, of Okeechobee, died Monday, Aug. 16, 2004, at Raulerson Hospital. She was born Sept. 10, 1919, in Custer, Ky. to Sam and Leura Lynch Allgood.
Mrs. Chandler had been a resident of Okeechobee since 1940. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and she was renowned for "raising kids."
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Roderick E. Chandler, Sr.; grandson, Chris Chandler; and, granddaughter, Amy Joanne Chandler.
Survivors include: her sons, Roderick E. Chandler, Jr. and Noel A. Chandler of Okeechobee and Russell Dwight Chandler of Basinger; daughter, Reba Carol Siler of Okeechobee; several grandchildren; and, great-grandchildren.
She married Roderick Edwin Chandler 1940. Roderick was born January 8, 1916 in Bassinger, FL. Roderick was the son of John L. Chandler and Katherine Raulerson. Roderick died February 4, 2002 in Okeechobee, Okeechobee Co., FL.
