Eva died December 10, 1998 in Owensboro, Daviess Co., KY. OBIT: Mrs. Eva Lee Basham, age 69, of Westview, died Thursday, December 17, 1998, at Owensboro Mercy Health Systems. Born in Breckinridge County, Mrs. Basham was a daughter of the late Irk and Lillie Clark Allgood. She was an adult caregiver, a homemaker, and a member of the Rhodes Memorial United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Willard Basham, Jr., a daughter, Dorothy Mae Basham, and a great-granddaughter, Paige Nichols Moore. Surviving are her husband, Willard Basham, Sr.; two son, Claudie Basham, Irvington, and David "Humpy" Basham, Balltown; a daughter, Betty Howard, Westview; two brothers, Jesse Allgood, Locust Hill, and Walter Allgood, SeRee; three sisters, Ethel Wardrip, Midway, Sara Ellen Blair, Locust Hill, Catherine Fentress, Fordsville; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, December 21, at Rhodes Memorial United Methodist Church with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Trent-Dowell Funeral Home, Hardinsburg, was in charge of arrangements.
She married Willard W. Basham. Willard was born July 10, 1917 in Breckinridge Co., KY. Willard was the son of Dave M. Basham and Rose (__). Willard died October 25, 2000 in Hardin Co., KY. OBIT: Willard Basham, 83, of Westview died Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2000, at Hardin Memorial Hospital. The Breckinridge County native was a retired farmer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Basham; a son, Willard Basham Jr.; and a daughter, Dorothy Mae Basham.
Survivors include two sons, Claudie Basham of Irvington and David Basham of Cloverport; a daughter, Betty Howard of Westview; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Eliza Carman of Irvington.
Services are at 1 p.m. Friday at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home in Hardinsburg. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in SeRee. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today and after 8:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
