Alice died August 7, 2008 in Taylor, Williamson Co., TX. OBIT: Alice Myers Allgood, 81, longtime resident of Taylor,Texas passed away Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008.
She was born June 12, 1927, in Brownwood, Texas, the daughter of Andy and Rita Myers. On December 25, 1945, she married Ben Allgood. Alice worked as a seamstress for over 50 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church for 59 years, serving as a member of the choir and Sunday school teacher. She was also a published poet.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Margaret Renz, brother George Myers, daughter-in-law Mary Allgood and son-in-law Floyd Schexnayder.
Alice is survived by her son, Stephen Allgood and wife JoAnne of Marshall; daughter, Rebecca Allgood of Taylor; daughter Amy Schexnayder of Oklahoma City, Okla.; sister, Nancy Beck and husband Darold of Brownwood; sister, Peggy Parsons and husband Newell of Brownwood; six grandchildren, Brian Schexnayder and wife Deidre of Oklahoma City, Okla., Stephen Schexnayder and wife Angie of Spangdahlem, Germany, Timothy Schexnayder and wife Kristen of Ada, Okla., Amanda Baker and husband Ross of Tyler, Toby Allgood and wife Jennifer of Marshall, Ryan Allgood of Marshall; eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Condra Funeral Home. Services will be held Sunday, Aug. 10, 2008 at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Taylor with Dr. Matt Hudson and Harold Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Taylor City Cemetery.

was a life-long resident of Taylor, TX until September 2008 when she moved to OKC. Becky was a member of First Baptist Church Taylor and
Southwest Baptist Church, OKC. She had worked at the East Williamson County Adult Activity Center for 33 years.
Becky was proceeded in death by her parents Ben and Alice Allgood; grandparents Noble and Sadie Allgood, Andrew and Rita Myers.
She is survived by her brother Steve Allgood and wife JoAnn of Marshall, TX; sister, Amy Schexnayder of OKC. Roy and Lois Allgood of Taylor, TX; Newell and Peggy Parsons; Darold and Nancy Beck of Brownwood, TX; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services under the direction of Providence Funeral Home will be at First Baptist Church of Taylor, TX, at 10:00 am Saturday, April 11, 2009.
