Karen died April 25, 2004 in San Angelo, Tom Green Co., TX. OBIT: Karen Leraye Johnson, 48, of San Angelo, formerly of Brownwood, passed away on April 25, 2004, in San Angelo. She fought severe migraine headaches for three weeks, before the Lord took her to Heaven after a massive stroke and aneurysm.
Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 29, in Eastlawn Cemetery. Interment will follow under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home of Early.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening, April 28, at the funeral home.
She was born on Sept. 22, 1955, in Slayton, Texas, the daughter of Harold Allgood and Carolyn Gunn Allgood. She married Darrell Johnson on Oct. 30, 2002, in Garland. She was a homemaker and had lived in San Angelo since 2000.
Survivors include her husband, Darrell Johnson of San Angelo; mother, Carolyn Allgood of Brownwood; daughters, Tracy Sutton and husband, Jim, of Early, Katherine Rivard of Austin, Angie Johnson of Garland and Jennifer Richardson of Dallas; and her loving mother-in-law, Earline Johnson of San Angelo. She is also survived by her twin sister, Katherine Miller of Lake Brownwood; sisters, Sheila Bush, Rose Crawford and Melissa Dougherty all of Brookesmith and Janette Thomas and Sherry Haws, both of Brownwood; brother, Budda Allgood of Brownwood; numerous nieces and nephews and the light of her life, 11 grandchildren.
She married three times.
