31287. Jane Ann.9 Allgood (Curtiss Leslie8, James Roy7, John Allen6, John Allen5, Manley H.4, John3, Ishmael2, Edward1) was born in Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY July 15, 1947. Jane died April 23, 2012. OBIT: Jane Ann Allgood Leggett, 64, wife of almost 34 years to William “Bill” Leggett, died Monday, April 23, 2012, at the Hospice Care Center. Born July 15, 1947, in Louisville, she was the daughter of Katherine Allgood of Ekron and the late Curtiss Allgood. Mrs. Leggett was a 1965 graduate of Meade County High School, attended the University of Kentucky and was a hairdresser for 40 years and worked at Darrell’s Hair Design. She was a member of First Christian Church. Mrs. Leggett was a loving daughter, wife, mom, mimi and sister and will be greatly missed.
Survivors other than her husband and mother include a son, Clay (Tonya) Leggett and a daughter, Carrie (Joe B.) Esenbock, all of Lexington; six grandchildren, Tori and Cayden Leggett, Brenna Esenbock, Merrytt (Michael) Pierce and Forest and Bud DeLacey; three great-grandchildren, Draven, Emma and Lucy; a brother, David (Terry) Allgood of Ekron; a sister-in-law, Rollean Painter of Lexington; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral was Thursday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home in Lexington by the Rev. Joe Cooper and Wally Rendel.
Additional visitation was held Saturday at Buck Grove Baptist Church in Ekron with a graveside service and burial in Buck Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Nephews served as pallbearers.
She married William (Bill) Edward Leggett May 14, 1978. William was born 1949.
Jane Ann. Allgood and William (Bill) Edward Leggett had the following children:
