Raymond died August 24, 2010 in Springfield, Clark Co., OH. OBIT: SALYER, Raymond Paul age 72, passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2010. He is preceded in death by his parents, Normal and Hazel (Rigsby) Salyer; first wife, Janet (Betty) Salyer; second wife, Connie (Dennin) Salyer; son, Ted Salyer; brothers, Thomas and Normal, Jr. Salyer; sister, Joyce Salyer Wilmeth, as well as several nieces and nephews. Raymond is survived by his children, Tim and Randy Salyer of Springfield, Trent Chess of Urbana; brothers, Donald (Diane) of San Jose, James (Shirley) of Cable, and Roger (Naomi) Salyer of Urbana; sisters, Dorothy Moore of Springfield, Janet (Dale) Longsworth of Marysville, Mary Douglas of Springfield, and Hazel (Jeff) Heath of Xenia; special friend, Sylvia Carr, and numerous nieces and nephews. He served in the Army National Guard. Raymond enjoyed cooking, fishing, hunting and was a friendly person who never met a stranger. No matter what life threw at him, he always had a smile on his face. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm on Monday, August 30, 2010 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek. Interment will follow at Dayton National Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, August 29, 2010 at the funeral home.
He married four times. He married Janet Marie Beedy April 28,1960 in Champaign Co., OH. Janet was born Feruary 16, 1938. Janet died January 10, 1969 in Urbana, Champaign Co., OH. Janet was buried in the Kings Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Kingscreek, Champaign Co., OH
He married Mildred A Snyder May 29,1973 in Clark Co., OH. Mildred was born 1937. He married Earline P Garvey May 15, 1985 in Clark Co., OH. Earline was born 1935. He married Connie M. Dennin July 23, 1988 in Clark Co., OH. Connie was born July 27, 1946. Connie died October 28, 2007.
