She married Bernard Deets Sargent July 18,1936 in Des Moines, Polk Co., IA. Bernard was born February 24, 1910 in Ankeny, Polk Co., IA. Bernard was the son of William Orin Sargent and Florence Evelyn Deets. Bernard died December 1978 in Des Moines, Polk Co., IA. OBIT: Services for Bernard D. Sargent 68, of 5784 Northeast 11th court will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Ankeny Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Sargent died of a heart ailment Monday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. Mr. Sargent was born in Ankeny and lived in Polk County all his life. A retired state employee he was a member of the Marquisville united Methodist Church, the IOOF lodge and Rebekah Lodge 493. Survivors include his wife Dorothy; a daughter Linda Faye Sargent of Des Moines; two sisters Mildred Ballinger and Leta Munro both of Des Moines; two brothers Ray and Wilbur both of Des Moines.
