He married Joyce Elaine Bergene October 12, 1962 in Moorhead, Clay Co., MN. Joyce was born October 31, 1926 in Portland, Steele Co, ND. Joyce was the daughter of Clarence Theodore Bergene and Signa Vennes. Joyce died November 1983 in Moorhead, Clay Co., MN.
