He married Virginia Sue Welch October 6, 1962 in Clark Co., NV. Virginia was born September 21,1945 in Berryville, Carroll Co., AR. Virginia was the daughter of Willie Lee lWelch and Mary N. Keeland. Virginia died March 17, 2015 in Altus, Jackson Co., OK. OBIT: Funeral for Virginia Sue Allgood, 69, of Frederick, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Jackson Funeral Home Chapel, Frederick, with the Rev. Jimmy Chandler officiating.
Burial will follow in Frederick Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Allgood passed away Tuesday evening, March 17, 2015, at an Altus nursing home.
Virginia Sue Welch Allgood was born Sept. 21, 1945, in Berryville, Ark., to Willie Lee and Mary N. Keeland Welch. When she was 2, the family moved to California where she attended school. She was united in marriage to Leroy Allgood in California and moved to Frederick in 1984. He preceded her in death on Aug.18, 1990. Virginia was a homemaker until her children were raised and then she began working as a nurse's aide for Pioneer Manor in Frederick. She later worked for Schlegel Oklahoma as a press operator for many years.
She is survived by one daughter, Olita Walters and husband John, of Amarillo, Texas; four sons: Willie Allgood and wife Nina, of Duncan; Michael Allgood and wife Toni, of Denver; Donald Allgood, of Frederick; and David Allgood, of San Diego; two sisters: Lee Clark, of Tulsa; and Zula Templeton, of Dallas, Ore.; six grandchildren: Melissa Campbell, Nathan Allgood, Richard Allgood, Dillon Allgood, Heather Allgood and Kenneth Allgood; and one great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one brother, Robert Welch.
