The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Crawford Avenue Baptist Church with the Revs. Harold V. Olson and Robert C. Daniels officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mrs. Morris was a native of Columbia County and lived in Augusta most of her life. She was retired Sales Supervisor at S.H. Kress Co. and a member of Crawford Avenue Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband; Cecil R. Morris; daughter, Carolyn Elaine Morris Peacock, Charlotte, N.C.; and a brother, Warren C. Allgood, Augusta. Pallbearers will be Louie Burch, Grady Jenkins, Joe Murray, Emory Wayer, A.L. Williams and Marion Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be The Board of Deacons, Faith Sunday School Class, The Bentley Bible class and the Faithful Ones of Crawford Avenue Baptist Church

She married Cecil R. Morris. Cecil was born August 19, 1911 in Barnwell Co., SC. Cecil died August 16, 1992 in Augusta, Richmond Co., GA. OBIT: Mr. Cecil R. Morris, 80, of 424 Pleasant Home Road, entered into rest Sunday, August 16, 1992, at University Hospital. The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Crawford Avenue Baptist Church, with Dr. William L. Owens officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mr. Morris, a native of Barnwell County, S.C., had retired as a salesman from Graves Refrigeration Co. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of Crawford Avenue Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon a and taught the Bentley Bible Class. Survivors include his wife, Lydia H. Morris; a stepson, Norman Burgamy, Augusta; a daughter, Carolyn M. Peacock, Charlotte, N.C., three stepdaughters, Elizabeth Easler, Augusta, Margie Gilmer, Atlanta, and Shelby Whigham, Martinez; a brother, Rudy H. Morris, Augusta; a sister, Roberta L. Murphy, Augusta; and two grandchildren, Michael R. Peacock and Miss Dana L. Peacock, both of Charlotte, N.C. Pallbearers will be Raymond Blackmon. Bill Cox, Jack Douglas, Joe Murray, H.B. Warren and Michael Weathers. Honorary pallbearers will be deacons and members of Bentley Bible Class.
