Ruby died July 4, 2009 in Spartanburg, Spartanburg Co., SC. OBIT: Ruby P. Henderson, 77, of 334 Fairview Church Road, died Saturday, July 4, 2009 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born October 31, 1931, in Mecklenburg County, VA, she was a daughter of the late Frank T. and Fannie Lee Allgood Bailey and the widow of Clarence Henderson. She was a member of Melvin Hill Church of Brethren. Survivors include two sons, Danny Pearson of Hendersonville, NC and John C. Pearson, Jr. of Douglasville, GA; a daughter, Vicki Waldrop of Columbus, NC; six brothers, Floyd Bailey of Palm City, FL, Frank Bailey of Roebuck, Doyle Bailey of Laurens, Gerald Bailey of Boiling Springs, Don Bailey of Spartanburg, and Steve Bailey of Spartanburg; two sisters, Betty Mercer of Wichita Falls, TX and Joan Hawkins of Spartanburg; nine grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Samuel Bailey; and two sisters, Barbara Bailey and Toni Layton. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, July 7, 2009 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Earl Byers. Visitation will follow the service at the graveside.

She married twice. She married Clarence Henderson. She married John Carol. Pearson Febriaru 6. 1047 in Laurens Co., SC. John was born August 18,1924 in SC. John was the son of Victor J Pearson and Molly (___). John died June 7,1967 in Columbus, Polk Co., NC.
