5842. Everett Newman⁷ Ayscue (Nathaniel Henry⁶, Thomas Louis⁵, Louisa Wright⁴ Allgood, John Bunyan³, Moses², Edward¹) was born in Franklin Co., NC June 30, 1907. Everett died July 9, 1964 in Raleigh, Wake Co., NC.

He married Elsie Lynn Hight. Elsie was born November 1, 1911 in Franklin Co., NC. Elsie died August 4, 2000 in Louisburg, Franklin Co., NC. OBIT: Elsie Hight Edwards, 88, died Friday, August 4, 2000, in Louisburg Nursing Center. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday from the Liberty-Vance United Church of Christ conducted by the Rev. Tammy Ayscue and the Rev. John Yevak. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Mrs. Edwards was a member of the Eastern Star and The United Daughters of the Confederacy. Surviving are a daughter, Mary Lou Gordon of Clayton; a step-daughter, Shirley Matthews of Henderson; sons, N.J. Ayscue and Cooper Ayscue, both of Louisburg; a step-son, Bill Edwards and wife Ginger of Rural Retreat, Va.; eight grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 13 step-great-grandchildren. The family received friends Saturday at Lancaster Funeral Home and at all other times at the home of Cooper Ayscue, 21 Stone’s Way, Louisburg, N.C. 27549. .

Everett Newman Ayscue and Elsie Lynn Hight had the following children:

+ 15248 iii. Everett Cooper Ayscue was born July 25,1936.
