Brenda died July 5, 2011 in Durham, Durham Co., NC. OBIT: Brenda Harris Ayscue, 63, of 1200 Community House Road, Oxford, died Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at Durham Regional Medical Center in Durham. Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Bennie Lenoard Harris Sr. and Corrine Terrell Harris. She was the widow of Wayne Ayscue.

Mrs. Ayscue was retired as operations manager, after 42 years with the McKesson Company in Roanoke, Va. She was a member of Hermon United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 8, 2011, at 2 p.m., at Hermon United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Nate Hester and the Rev. John Yount. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Surviving are a daughter, Angie Ayscue Griggs, and husband Barry, of Oxford; a granddaughter, Samantha Michelle Lunsford, and husband, Brandon, of Oxford; a brother, Joel Simon Harris, and wife, Linda, of Oxford; a nephew, Joel S. Harris Jr., and wife Tiffany, of Greenville, N.C.; a great-nephew, Grainger Harris; and special friends, J.H. and Kathie Hamm, of Oxford. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bennie Lenoard Harris Jr.

The family will receive friends Thursday, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., at Flowers Funeral Home. All other times, they will be at the home of Joel and Linda Harris, 130 B.L. Harris Road, Oxford.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Junior Allen, Jeff Allen, Mike Parr, Thomas Lunsford, Rencher Moore, Dennis Harris, Bobby Cole, and Wayne Johnson.

She married Cleveland Wayne Ayscue. Cleveland was born June 5, 1939 in Franklin Co., NC. Cleveland was the son of Cleveland Washington Ayscue and Mattie Mae Lester. Cleveland died July 18, 1983 in Vance Co., NC.

Brenda Louisse Harris and Cleveland Wayne Ayscue had the following child:
