OBIT: Tinnie Bigger Conover, died June 16, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Conover; her son, Benjamin Conover; and daughter, Patricia Sanders. She is survived by her granddaughter, Bambi Leigh Garnett; two sisters, Mary Mills of Chase City, Va., and Kitty McWhirt Coates of Richmond, Va.; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Conover was a member of the Shalom Baptist Church, past matron of Betsy Ross Chapter #91, O.E.S. and ACCA Motor Patrol Motorettes. Family received friends Thursday, June 19, 2008 at the Mechanicsville Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Rd., where an Eastern Star service was also held. Funeral services were held at the Bennett Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, June 20, 2008. Graveside services took place at Signal Hill Cemetery.
She married Robert Merrill Conover December 17,1949 in Richmond Co., VA. Robert was born March 8, 1927. Robert was the son of WillliamC. Conover and Carrie Brown. Robert died September 24, 2006 in Richmond, Richmond Co., VA. OBIT: Robert M. Conover, age 79, of the Masonic Home of Virginia, passed away September 24, 2006. He was preceded in death by son, Ben Conover; daughter, Patricia Sanders; and four brothers. He is survived by wife of 56 years, Tinnie B. Conover; granddaughter, Bambi Garnett; nieces, and nephews. He was a member of Shalom Baptist Church, Babcock Masonic Lodge 322, Betsy Ross Chapter Eastern Star, Richmond Scottish Rite Bodies, ACCA Shriners, past president of ACCA Motor Patrol, and past president of GMRAC.
