He married Nettie Hazel Andrews. Nettie was born March 25, 1939 in Baskenville, Meclenberg Co., VA. Nettie was the daughter of J.B. Andrews. Nettie died November 6, 2013 in Baskerville, Mecklenburg Co., VA. OBIT: Hazel Andrews Allgood, age 74, of Baskerville, died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013. She was an employee of Burlington Industries and a certified nursing assistant.
Mrs. Allgood was the widow of Garland Eugene Allgood and is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Chad Carter of Baskerville; two brothers, J. B. Andrews, Jr. of South Hill and Morris Andrews of Baskerville; her sister, Doris Morris and husband Graham of South Hill; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Allgood was predeceased by her son, George Allgood.
A graveside funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, Nov. 9, at 11 a.m. at the St. Andrews Episcopal Church Cemetery in Baskerville. The family received friends on Friday evening from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home and Crematory
