OBIT: May Allgood Roberson, 79, of 445 Alexander Ave., died Sunday, March 30, 2014, at Universal Healthcare in Oxford.. rn in Mecklenburg County, Va., she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin Allgood and Essie Corrine Dunn Allgood.. Mrs. Roberson was a retired certified nurse’s assistant. She was a member of Mt. Ararat Pentecostal Holiness Church.. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Flowers Funeral Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Allen R. Ayscue.. Surviving are four daughters, Carol R. Lassiter of Henderson, Jessie R. Parks of Bradenton, Fla., Emily Lou R. Trammell of Henderson and Margie Roberson of Warrenton; a son, Lewis Taylor “Jack” Roberson of the home; four sisters, Alein King of Kenbridge, Va., Betty Keith of Creedmoor, Dorothy Moss of Henderson and Vivian Bragg of Franklinton; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild..
She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Roberson; a great-granddaughter, Emily Faye Roberson; and three brothers, Benjamin F. Allgood Jr., Lewis A. Allgood and William E. Allgood..
She married Samuel Taylor Roberson December 30,1950. Samuel was born August 29,1927. Samuel died November 9, 1983 in Vance Co., NC.
