David died November 9, 2013 in sSpringfield, Clark Co., OH. OBIT: David Allan Adkins, 58, of Springfield, passed away on November 9, 2013 at the Springfield Regional Medical Center after a tough year of battling cancer. He was born on November 22, 1954 in Springfield the son of Charles E. and Virginia (Cartwright) Adkins. He worked for many years in maintenance at the Moose Family Lodge where he was also a member. He enjoyed spending time with his grandsons, fishing in his younger years, and motorcycles. Dave was a good friend to many. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and John Loney of Springfield, and son, Mike Adkins of Brooklyn, New York, two grandsons, Jacob and Caleb, two sisters, three brothers, several nieces and nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. A gathering of family and friends will be on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 from 5-7:00 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME where services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. with Sam Waldron from First Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in the Glen Haven Memorial Garden. Moose Lodge services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday night.
