Forest died September 17,1967 in Pikeville, Pike Co., KY. OBIT: Forest McKenzie, 83, of Volga, Ky., died Sunday in a Pikeville Hospital after a long illness. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Jones and Preston Funeral Home at Paintsville, Ky. Burial will be in the family cemetery at Volga. A retired farmer, he was born Aug. 4, 1884, in Johnson County, Ky., a son of the late W. H. and Lydia Blanton McKenzie. His wife, the former Mary Lou Crace, died in 1958. Survivors include two sons, Everett McKenzie of Volga and Virgil B. McKenzie of Paintsville, two daughters, Mrs. Lura Williams and Mrs. Julia May Williams of Volga, and three sisters, Mrs. Lewis Blanton of Jackson, Ohio, Mrs. Nola Green of East Chicago, Ind.,and Mrs. H. C. Salyer of Flat Gap, Ky.

He married Mary Lou Crace September 14, 1905. Mary was born March 25, 1886 in Volga, KY. Mary was the daughter of William R. Crace and Julie Jackson. Mary died Agust 11,1958 in Johnson Co., KY. OBIT: Mrs. Mary Lou Crace McKenzie, 72, died at 11:25 a.m., August 11, after several months' illness, due to a heart condition. The daughter of William R. and Julia Jackson Crace, she was born March 15, 1886, at Oil Springs but had been a resident of Volga for the past fifty-four years. She was affiliated with the Baptist Church. Mrs. McKenzie was married September 14, 1905, at Volga to Forest L. McKenzie, who survives. Surviving beside the husband are two sons, Everett and Buell McKenzie, both of Volga, two daughters, Lura Williams, Volga, and Julia Mae Williams, Fairborn, Ohio and three brothers, Albert and Archie Crace of Oil Springs, and Ashland Crace of Florida, eight grand- children and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at the home at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 14, with Bruce Daniel and Ellis Hamilton as officiating ministers and the Toms Creek Quartet furnishing the music. Burial was made in the family cemetery at Volga.

Ruth was born Decembe 10, 1914 in Johnson Co., KY. Ruth was the daughter of Ben F. Conley and Dora (___). Ruth died December 20, 2011. 14203 ii. Lura M. Mckenzie was born in Flat Gap, Johnson Co., KY November 2, 1908. Lura died January 7, 1986. She married Norman Williams. Norman was born Augus 1, 1898. Norman was the son of Eliphus Turner Ashby Williams. Norman died Jfanuary 25,1978. 14204 iii. Julia May Mckenzie was born March 24, 1912. Julia died April 10, 2004 in Paintsville, Johnson Co, kY. OBIT: Julia May Williams, 92, of Flat Gap, died Saturday, April 10, 2004 at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center, Paintsville. Born March 24, 1912, in Johnson County, she was a daughter of the late Forest and Mary Lou Crace McKenzie. She was a clerical worker. She was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Williams. Graveside services were Monday, April 12, at McKenzie Family Cemetery, Volga, with Elders Sam Reed, Eual McKenzie, and Johnny Curtis officiating. Jones-Preston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. She married James B. Williams.

James was born August 30,1900. James was the son of William Wiliams and Linnie Witten. James died November 14,1969. OBIT: Volga resident James B. Williams, 69, died at his home on Friday, November 14 after a short illness. Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, November 16, in the Jones and Preston Funeral Home with Ellis Hamilton and Hood Wallen officiating. Burial was in the McKenzie Cemetery at Volga. The Jones and Preston Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. The son of the late Dr. William and Linnie Witten Williams, he was born in Johnson County on August 30, 1900. He was a carpenter by occupation and a member of the Enterprise Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, the former, Julia Mae McKenzie; a brother, Charles M. Williams of Dayton, OH; and a sister, Emma Williams Frazier of Elna. Paintsville Herald, Wednesday, November 19, 1969 + 14205 iv. Virgil Buel Mckenzie was born Agust 11, 1916.
